June Jubilation in the Computer Clubhouse
The past week has been filled with exciting and new Clubhouse activities. In preparation for the Computer Clubhouse Summer Entrepreneurship Program, we have received a professional button maker and a new and functioning 3-D printer. Clubhouse members have already created witty and ridiculously awesome projects. From 3-D printed rings, to buttons marketing our own Clubhouse member’s music production group R.O.M.E., the creativity has been flowing all around. Check out some of the projects showcased above. There will be more awesometacular youth created projects this summer.
Beyond the numerous projects that have been created over the past week, the Clubhouse has been bonding over games of Dominos, Jenga, and even an impromptu hula hoop competition. Want to join the fun? Are hours are still the same up until mid July when the Clubhouse will be open from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday.
Don’t forget that we are having the Boston Computer Clubhouse Film Festival next Friday June 28 from 7:00-8:30 in Chaners Theatre in the Museum of Science. We will be showcasing 7 different video projects from Computer Clubhouse members in Boston. There will be a reception in the Computer Clubhouse from 5:00-6:30 p.m. before the Film Festival. Email AmeriCorps Mass Promise Fellow, Ellen Daoust at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
The Clubhouse is also thrilled to have Michael Boyle, Faculty Member from Bunker Hill Community College come in today to talk about their Computer Art and Animation Department. Stay tuned for photos and resources from his visit.
