Faces at Figment (Slideshow)
This past weekend, The Flagship made a show-stopping appearance at FIGMENT Boston: a festival of interactive community art. Check out our photo slideshow below and read what our high school interns, Jasmine and Kamel, had to say about the event…
On Saturday, the Flagship introduced video sensing to Figment Boston, a daytime, and night-time event where there was an abundance of interactive art. Once we started to set up, visitors couldn’t keep away. They were very interested in what was happening. People of all ages were excited to interact with the different projects we had up. Such as virtual bubbles that people could pop and saving the Green Monster(s) from falling and hitting the ground. The most popular one was the one in which people could line up their faces with the ones on the screen and they would try to get all the faces to look the same. The Flagship introduced art that was fun and interactive. We explained to the visitors that they could go home and access the website we used to make the interactive games, which was “Scratch." Some people were already aware of Scratch, which was good because they already had an understanding of what was happening.
