Announcing registration for our winter series of Intel’s Start Making! for Girls and Adobe Youth Voices – AYV Programs!

Intel’s Start Making! for Girls WHAT IT IS: Intel’s Start Making! Program consists of five sessions that introduce youth to the basics of circuitry, coding, crafting, and engineering through fun activities and “open make” self-designed projects. Proletariat visits the Flagship CC!

Last Saturday the Flagship was packed for our game design workshop, hosted by Cambridge’s Proletariat Inc., a nearby indie game design company! Proletariat artists & reps Damon, Lauren & Kristen came by to talk about the work they do at their studio, and even showed a preview of their latest game World Zombination!! Afterwards, the team led Clubhouse Members & Mentors in a hands-on workshop where we watched our drawn characters come to life on Maya via character skinning. Characters...

Clubhouse Holiday Hours!

Holiday schedule: CLOSED Dec 24th – 26th.  Open Friday the 27th (2:30-7:30), and Saturday the 28th (12-5)! CLOSED Dec 31st & January 1st. We’ll resume normal scheduling Thursday, January 2nd. Thanks and have a great week!

ED Makers: A Day in Recap

This past Saturday the Clubhouse teamed up with  Houghton Mifflin Harcourt to put on EdMakers: Reimagining  your Education Experience. This exciting event involved over 20 youth from both the Flagship and Blue Hill Computer Clubhouses. After arriving and breaking into three teams, the youth set to work brainstorming and prototyping solutions to educational challenges. Join us in celebrating a day of creating! This Saturday, Dec 7th, the Flagship Computer Clubhouse is partnering with Houghton Mifflin Harcourt for a day-long event like never before! Participants will be spending the day designing and prototyping an array of creations that highlight educational challenges that impact their everyday school experiences. This week in the Clubhouse

Join us this Thursday 4:30-8pm for Insights and Innovations: Youth Speak through Media and Technology. The Massachusetts Cultural Council is marking 20 years of grantmaking through the YouthReach Initiative and is kicking off its yearlong celebration with a showcase at the Intel Computer Clubhouse!
