A Day of Clubhouse Funovation. Brought to you by the MIT Media Lab!
Last Friday a group of Clubhouse members, volunteers, and interns took a trip to the MIT Media Lab to participate in several workshops that were driven by the interests of Clubhouse youth. The Flagship Computer Clubhouse, South Boston Boys and Girls Club Computer Clubhouse, and Jordan Boys and Girls Club Computer Clubhouse all participated in these awesome workshops. From fashion design to interactive chess to build your own speakers to story telling; the youth learned new skills and innovated information.
They also got to interact with MIT Director Fellows who facilitated each of the workshops. One of the Computer Clubhouse interns, Immanuel Jones, came back saying, “My favorite part of the day was when the Director’s Fellows said not to follow the rules of writing and film-making, because that’s when you run into writer’s block. You have to think outside the box. I want to go back just for the Media Lab!”
